Technically, I guess you could say that they have scales. However, they do not really have a scaled look. A leopard gecko’s skin has a smoother appearance than many other scaled lizards. I am by no means an expert, so if you want to know more I suggest you get a book from the library or talk to a reptile specialist.
You do not have to cut the tiles. At least not for a 20 gal long tank. The tiles are the perfect size to fit the tank. There are some gaps though. Some people fill the gaps with sand, but I don’t want to risk impaction.
wow, everyone elses leopard geckos seems to be great hunters but mine just cant catch crickets, i havent had her for very long, maybe about 2 weeks. Will she become better at hunting as time goes on?
The last cricket was eventually eaten, but it took a while.
He looks so mean when he eats, like a wild ferocious beast… and then once he swallows he’s cute and cuddly again.

i used tiles for a while but my geckos couldnt pounce for there food very well because they kept slipping on the smooth surface of the tiles. lol
@MrGeckoLeopard how old is she? hatch-lings have to learn to hunt for their food.
