look its likely for you gecko to get impaction on sand but not very many do ive kept all 7 of my geckos in the opast babys and adults on clay substrate which is wot they live on in the desert and none of them have got impaction or any other problems

Would it kill you to just put paper towels instead of sand? Any loose subtract is bad for your Blizzard, especially in that age.

  6. Kollindyr says:

we have many, we have them every 2-3 months, or the one in september which is annual.

A, Its a blizzard as kolli has stated.
    And
    B. The light doesn not burn albinos, albinos eyes are just sensitive to light.

in all honesty sand is just a bitch to maintain as well as a risk to the animal… even if you don’t feed him in there

Kollindyr, right i would like to get sand for my leopard gecko but what kinda of sand seeing as everyones banging on about how calci sand is extremely bad for your gecko, like i said before i would like to use sand as it gives it a more natural look and conducts heat quite well, Message me back :D

  24. Kollindyr says:

I’ve had no problems, but when I feed I feed outside the box to reduce ingestion of sand. That or feed mealworms on a plate, so she doesn’t gobble any sand.
