is there any food that you can feed leo’s that arnt bugs? or live things?

  4. Fluffball176 says:

Nope, they only eat Bugs. You can feed them Crickets and Meal Worms alive or dead (like the Can O’ Worms).

r they good beginner pets? if not can u tell me a good beginner lizard that gets big like a tegu?

  6. pbdude725 says:

i would not personally call a tegu a good beginner… if you are positive you have done your research and have everything required and can provide him with food on a daily basis then go for it! but for a larger starter lizard i would suggest maybe something like a bearded dragon, but for something around the size of a tegu to for a starter… well i think a tegu is the only thing that can be considered an ok starter at that size…. id still suggest something smaller though…

thx yea im looking into leopard geckos

  8. keo319 says:

yes they r good beginer pets. but they dont get really big they grow 6-9 inches but they live rather long about 25 years old.and they r very friendly

  9. pbdude725 says:

that makes more sense.. i do suggest just using paper towel for your substrat, its the easiest to clean and the safest… and it doesnt look too great but for me my leos are like miscellaneous so idc too much about what their enclosure looks like i just want them to have good care, yah know?

    hell yea lol.wat causes mites?

  11. pbdude725 says:

foreign contaminants… such as unsterilized logs/ rocks and food that is not captive breed or wild often carry mites

  12. chilldude567 says:

aaahhh so ill prob keep him/her in the living barely any furniture very secluded and when i buy all the supplies like rocks/other things like hides ill wash em off w hot water n the meal worms ill rinse off

  13. pbdude725 says:

no you don’t have to rinse off mealworms! lol, not if you buy ‘em fro a pet shop those are fine…. just never feed it anything from outdoors….. and as far as decorations in the cage if they are rocks or logs from outside bake them at 400 F in the oven for 10 minutes but if they’re from a pet shop just rinse em off and dry them… but as long as you buy the crickets or mealworms from somebody that breeds them in captivity like a pet shop does then your fine… just don’t feed any wild insects

fat bitch, tell me not to use sand.

  17. reptil3z says:

can u feed ur leopard gecko only mealworms?

  18. mrleopardgecko3 says:

    yes you can!
they should be dusted though, with calcium. If your leopard gecko is indoors, dust with calcium with D3 in it, some say its not as good but D3 comes from the sun, so its healthy.

remember to dust with calcium every other meal :)

  19. Fluffball176 says:

They can, but a lot of people will tell you to mix things up a little (Silk Worms, Wax worms, Crickets ext.).
