ok you have to do this gently. GRAB HIM AND FLIP HIM OVER if he/she has a bunch of dots on the bottom and 2 bulge like things beside his hindlegs on his under belly then its definately a boy. and if its fat and HUGE its likely also a female.
feed him until he erjects the food. they are kinda spoiled but mine right now is eating once a day sense its always stressed out but they are large worms so hes good. Also if shes inside her cave or watever DO NOT disturb her for eating. let her come out
I have a 3-4 month old male fat tailed gecko and he never runs off and jumps when I’m handling him yet from wot I’ve seen on youtube other geckos do, I’m worried that somit may be wrong with him also others say sand is bad for young geckos, and he has sand in his tank, but he does have a small dish of calcium powder plus the sand is calcie sand, wot do you think ?
id say take the calci sand away and replace it with something else like paper towels. dont use anything thats rough or loose with babys cause they aint that brite and the will eat everything. also when feeding him dip the crickets or watever you feed him into calcium powder so that it gets the nutrition wether it wants it or not. Very young geckos are moody but yours is not so if it doesnt move alot dont worry about it unless he stops eating and gets very very skinny.
It’s much better to mix the san with mudpowder (sand and mudpowder must be dry when mixing)
to produce a real natural ground they live on in nature ! The mudpowder makes the sand hard enough to walk on it and digable too. And you havn’t the danger that the geckos could eat it with their food, so they live like in nature ! Sand only is crap, reptile carpet is crap…do it like in nature, a hard mud/sand ground …
